Drystone Walling
Also known as drystone dykes, drystane dykes, drystone hedges or rock fences, drystone walls are constructed from stones
(usally found locally) without any mortar to bind them together. They are a common feature in rural areas.
The wall is held up by the drystone construction
method and by its own weight and the stones must be carefully selected by shape to ensure that they have a large contact surface
area with their neighbours and so do not slip.
Natural stonework requires little maintenance and may last for centuries, all the time improving with age.
Drystone walls have wonderful character and add a much sought-after traditional feel wherever
they appear.

Decorative Stonework
Natural stonework will improve the appearance of any landscape, garden or dwelling. It is a beautiful and traditional alternative
to much of the manmade alternatives seen today. Natural stonework requires little maintenance and may last for centuries, all the time
improving with age. Natural stonework and drystone walls have wonderful character and add a much sought-after traditional feel wherever
they appear.
We can source stone to suit any location and create features like terraces, raised flower beds, ornamental elements and
stone-paving to match currently existing walls and stonework. We can carry out custom commissions to your own specifications.
